Supplying KGD: The CellularRAM Approach
Tom Weldon, Micron
The CellularRAM Workgroup was formed to jointly specifiy a new PSRAM family. Along the way to supplying die from multiple vendors, many KGD issues needed to be addressed. Beyond the challenge of agreeing to a common specification, the workgroup members also had to address die supply issues related to pad order, different design architectures and technology nodes, and common test methods. This presentation reviews the approach taken by the CRWG to enable multiple vendors to provide KGD products to the market, and examines the lessons learned and possible future refinements.
